First Things Foundation Hires Director of Organizational Growth
Jo Ann Miksa-Blackwell is FTF’s Director of Organizational Growth and newest addition to the team. She is a deeply inspired creative individual with a contagious enthusiasm for social entrepreneurship. Jo Ann’s extensive experience in non-profit organizational development, grant writing, fundraising, communication, marketing, community development, and micro-lending are all dedicated to helping communities in poverty improve their quality of life through entrepreneurship. She has personally trained thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners by providing planning tools needed to navigate through marketing, financial forecasting and cash flow projections. Her most recent non-profit experience includes Mountain BizWorks/BizCapital (CDFI), USDA Beginning Farmer Rancher Program and the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. Educational accomplishments consist of a Bachelor of Science Business Administration (BSBA) and a Masters of Entrepreneurship (MA), from Western Carolina University.
